I plan to touch up the paintwork on my car
This summer, I plan to touch up the paintwork on my car.
Since the car is rare, I want to prepare the painter by sending him a few instructional videos.
Therefore, I'm asking if you could help me and, based on your own experience, recommend any videos I haven't been able to find.
Here are the paint jobs to be done:
1) Roof (rust in several places) + 2 aluminum strips.
2) Left rear fender (rust on the wheel arch edge) - video tutorial on how to remove the taillights:
3) Right rear fender (rust on the wheel arch edge; dent in the upper part near the tailgate that needs to be hammered out)
4) Tailgate (rust near the lock)
5) Aluminum spoiler
6) Rear bumper
7) Front bumper - video tutorial on how to remove the front bumper:
8) Left and right door edges
9) Renovation of door handles on both doors - sanding and painting silver/ash - video tutorial on how to remove Door trim/upholstery and access to the door handles:
10) Renovation of the decorative element - imitation air intake on the front left fender - sanding and painting silver/ash gray
11) Renovation of three horizontal plastic strips on the so-called grille, i.e., in the front above the license plate - gluing the damage + sanding and painting silver/ash gray
12) Repair of the tailgate lock (it doesn't reflect light) + replacement of the license plate light lenses (I'm providing two new ones) + replacement of both bulbs (one is burned out)
13) Inserting pieces of new sheet metal in the corroded areas in both front wheel arches - an instructional video on how to remove the front fenders:
Paint color:
040/P40 Black Clear Coat
Completion time:
Approximately 3 weeks, June/July 26

Why touch it up??? It is easier for the painter to do the entire car than to blend in a number of spots. Get a price quote for the entire car and the spot job. It may well be worth the few extra dollars to do the entire car. Being that you are going to the same color as it is now the painter will only be dealing with the exterior. He will not need to paint the inside of the doors or under the hood and engine bay. Have him pull the silver windshield trim and the silver side strakes and paint them while he is at it.
Only the two doors and the hood will remain unpainted.
These parts are in good condition. I'll paint them only when necessary.
What I really miss is a video tutorial on how to remove the rear bumper. Does anyone have one?

How much money are you saving by letting the doors and hood unpainted ?? Doesn't make sense to me.
.
Have you checked the downloadable service manuals? I believe I used my hard copies when I first bought my car, to remove the headlight assemblies (it was all new no dirt/damage and so easy to remove). Check it, and see, there are chapters that might help. Good luck!

@zip439 Both doors and the hood will be sanded/polished. Someday, if I'm still alive, I'll paint those parts too. ;-)
@GraphiteGhost I have collected various documentation for this car in my private cloud and I intend to send it to the painter a few days before the order.

Does anyone of you have a video on how to remove the gray strips - windshield frame?
This must be done gently so as not to break their latches.
