Default Bullitt

While on a tour of the local Big Lots to see what bargains it might hold, I ran across a DVD of special interest. At only $4.99 it was a no-brainer must have.

I now have Bullitt on DVD! Probably one of the best car chases in moviedom...but after watching it again it pretty much falls into the category of "I remember how cool that scene was..." Newer movies put it to shame. However, considering when it was made and the state of movie editing then to now, it IS and ALWAYS WILL BE a true classic.

I can not even begin to tell you how many times my son and I watched that chase scene while we were restoring his '68 fastback, it even played a big part in our painting it Highland Green. Brings back a lot of good memories. Then about the time we were finishing it up the new Gone in 60 Seconds came out and we were introduced to Eleanor...

We liked it better without them so we just left them out when we redid the rear quarters. You weren't supposed to notice!

LOL, that's OK, it just makes it more like the cars they used in the movie. Some were 67's, some were 68's.

That movie's hilarious.....I like counting how many times the hubcaps come off in corners in the big chase scene!
