My have times have changed. My HS prom would have never let women dressed like that in, and the guys would have been laughed at dressed like they were. And of course there wasn't cops stationed outside.

That one is different. Do we really know if the reception was held at White Castle or did the wedding party just go there for dinner? Or maybe the wedding is the third time both the bride and groom and they just don't have the desire to spend thousands on another traditional wedding. At any rate the wedding party, including the kids, is dressed formally.

I can understand the prom goers wanting to express their individuality, and some of the suits, although colorful, were suits and were amusing to look at. But many crossed the line from style to absurdity and most of the girls looked like they should be hanging around street corners asking the navy guys if they wanted a good time. Did like the helicopter hair style though.

 

Too late Kurts. My wife typed this for me, I can't see now and it's a blessing. I don't want to risk seeing anything like the kids in this thread again.

On a serious note. How do young people that embrace clothing and lifestyles like pimps and hookers expect to melt into our society and become productive and successful ? I know Bill Cosby would have plenty to say about it. African Americans comprise about 90 percent of the people that I work with at Head Start and most would kick their kids butt if they dressed liked that.
