Nicky Hayden, 2006 MotoGP champion, died today from injuries that occurred just five days earlier. The American athlete was 35-years-old.
The fatal crash occurred during a cycling accident on the Rimini coastline in Italy. He reportedly suffered severe cerebral damage after a collision with a car.
The crash came just days after Hayden, nicknamed the Kentucky Kid, competed for Red Bull Honda in the World Superbike Championship in Italy on May 14th.

Kennedy spent 11 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and was selected for the Pro Bowl eight times, TMZ reported. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012.

The Orlando Police Department confirmed Kennedy's passing. They did not share any specific details, but did say "there is nothing suspicious" about his death.
