Just booked a place on the Richard Petty Nascar Rookie driving experience.

I could be the next Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder.

I'm taking Weds before Thanksgiving off and will be in Vegas by one or so. My schedule is flexible so those of you on a schedule feel free to propose what would work best for you and I'll accommodate.

I suggest we go for Wednesday evening dinner then.
Seems we will all be in Vegas that night.
I'm open to most anywhere on the strip for dinner.

Crappy old casino on the worst end of the strip with no good restaurants and a tiny old parking garage that I refuse to park any of my nice cars inside............and my truck would barely fit.

Suggestion: Imperial Palace

Although the casino & hotel are old and dated. The pluses are:

1.) Great location
2.) Because the building's paid for, the tables are easier to win at
3.) The cocktail waitresses in the casino are HOT!

At least that's the way it has been when I've been there.

Sunrise.....Las Vegas.

Getting a late start today as we were up late last night.

This is our 60th floor room view of Las Vegas.
The sun is reflecting off the Wynn which is a mirror image of the Encore where I am staying.
Weather - Sunny and 63 degrees today

Welcome................I guess we got cut off when you called(reception at the airport isn't very good). Do you have a rental car? If so you(any anybody else that's mobile) can feel free to stop by my work if you're interested in seeing a bunch of VERY expensive wrecked cars. My shop is about 1/2 mile from Encore, just two streets off the strip.

As far as the Imperial Palace suggestion goes I could do that since it's close to nicer hotels that I can park at and walk over to the IP. My main gripe about the older hotels is that their parking garages are very small with tight spots(and people love to ding doors in this town).

A nice day today.
Saw the tigers and lions at the mirage and did a lot of sightseeing.
Lots of new hotels since our visit 5 years ago.
I'm open to most anything for dinner on Wednesday.
Still plan on 7pm and we will nail down a place by Wednesday afternoon.
Brent should be in town by 3:00.
Still no contact with bazzer but he's here in town somewhere.
No rental cars this visit. Taxi's and walking are getting us around.
Tuesday a helicopter tour over the Hoover Dam and landing in the Grand Canyon for drinks. Then a return trip back to the strip at sunset.
Then were heading down to Freemont st and the Stratosphere.

a few pics from today.....

Val, can you pm me your room number and Mopar, can you pm your shop name/address? If I have time I'd like to stop by and ogle the wrecks.

I can trade cars with my friends with something seating more than two if we need extra seating for everyone.

Bedtime.

Doesn't the Imperial have the car museum? It's a decent walk through if I remember right. I'm just glad I don't have HBO, I can just imagine what kind of taxi-cab confessions this group would have.

PM sent

Also, the Statosphere has a kick azz restaurant called "Top of the World"..........on top of the building(who'd of guessed) that is fine dining with an unbeatable view. I would NOT however recommend it for the Wednesday group meal due to price and you have to dress up nice.
