Here comes another technological innovation to make people even more lazy....

YouTube - U3-X Personal Mobility Prototype

But it is really cool technology.

Must say, those things are amazing, but the two young hotties are far from obese. Sweet.

Ten years ago we would have never in our dreams believed such sci-fi gravity defying mobility was possible. Absolutely amazing. Hats off to Honda.

How much $$$?

Interesting new technology. But I can't see much practical use for them. Although it would be a fun toy.

I think it would be excellent for handicapped people that have diffulculty in walking ie., rumatoid aurtheritis (sp) and such. Not to sure if elderly people would use it cause it doesnt have a blinker they can leave on while driving to slow.

However, I can't wait to see drunken rednecks use it to jump over ___________ (you fill in the blank)

Add the spell checker for use on this site and you can forget worrying about the spelling errors.

I have three questions;
How well will it do on the Dragon?
Does it come in a stick shift version?
Where do I get one?

For my son and his wife, who each have compromised leg functions, this would be an essential tool just for normal daily living.

It's easy to make a typo or not know how to spell a few words, so using the spell checker does two things for you.
As a bonus you might learn something.
However, I have seen some posts here that were so badly spelled even the spell checker would be confused.

Why Americans are obese...

... because a Japanese company invented a prototype.

Um... yeah. Probably not.

As "Green-Ghost" pointed out, I think there are many possibilities where Honda's U3-X could come in very handy.
But just going by the two test drivers Honda chose to promote the thing, I'd bet it's current "GVWR" is only about 100 lbs.

Just imagine if Honda could transfer that "Custom" wheel technology over to it's cars.
Drifting would probably become a National Past Time.
