I hate to be a skeptic, but the door was mangled to hell.

 

I have used several paintless dent removal guys over the years. Some were experts that loved what they did, worked methodically like this guy and were proud of their repairs. Others were complete hacks. The experts take their successes to the next level and sell their expertise like franchises. It really is an art.

 

I have also used some very good guys that know what they're doing, and take pride on their work. However, I've never seen anyone repair something like this. My question is; because he did not cover on how the areas where paint had been broken, how was the finish fixed?

 

I do my own..The tools are cheap. I don't get much practice...

 

When I got My X Fire it had several dents in odd places. No paint chips at all but dents of different sizes. Some looked like hail damage some like golf ball hits and door dings but again no paint penetration. A local paintless dent removal guy worked wonders. I watched and it took 3 hours but he made it absolutely perfect!! It's amazing!

 

That is a pretty amazing feat.

 

Definitely a sales video to sell his training service. Lots of voodoo and missing steps in how he arrived at the completed door.

 

I have an appointment tomorrow to meet with the local dent removal guy "Kurt the Dent Man" for evaluation and scheduling of the work. The Volvo I picked up has a few decent sized dings and my wife's CC has one too. I'll start a new thread and post before and after photos for any local guys looking to get work done.
