Jim, the best advice I can give is hire an insured bonded transport company. Anything else and it could get very expensive if something happens. Good luck!

I say get a pot head out of LA. They work cheap, usually just fast food and some weed

I have got to say the first thing that came to mind was the movie "Vanishing Point".

The last time I shipped a car from Florida to California it was just over $1,000 but it has been awhile and that is likely low today.

I am also in hunt of getting a car from one spot to another (Ann Arbor, Michigan to Knoxville, TN) also.

I had my Crossfire brought up from FL to MI in February for $850. Based upon online reviews (https://www.consumeraffairs.com), I contracted with EShip. But like many service providers, they are just a broker. EShip hired Direct Motor Lines out of IL. Overall, I had good service and good results. However, it is really the luck of the draw when it comes to the trucking company (when you use a broker). And, if you are in need of delivery on a certain date/time, you need to make other arrangements.

If you have not gotten this resolved I came across a transporter that runs between Florida and Texas if it is of any help.
I have not used him but the owner himself answers the phone and is quite personable. His rate on a short haul was good
but my deal fell apart. Jose at Truckntrailer301 on G Mail.com
