Hello all. I'm new to the forum but have had my Alabaster baby with cedar inserts for a while. I'm looking for photo's of a crossfire with any interior color that has woodgrain added to it. Has anyone even seen such a beast? Plenty of people online say they sell the kit but the photo's are never for the Crossfire interior. Thanks for your assistance.

I have been offering the Hydro-static or Photogenisis coatings to forum members at a steep discount. The link spensley sent is from a couple years ago and they mention this method as well (at $1.50 sq inch vs my current appx .50 sq inch).

I am glad FP sent a pic of the typical "stick on" kits. As you can see the console area is made of a batch of small sections. As a result there are all the beveled seams that show silver around each piece. If you like that look, fine. Also the stick on kits can have difficulty in areas with extreme heat with the adhesive coming loose (some are better than others).

My coating covers the entire piece as if it was molded to that shape. It is actually an automotive grade finish (you care for the same as you would your painted surfaces). I haven't done one in wood yet for the Crossfire, but I have done sythetic carbon fiber. My finish is available in 8 colors. Black, silver, red, and blue CF plus the following wood finishes; Blackwood (Lincoln), Zebrano (Cadillac), and dark and light burl (Jaguar). My tech has been doing cars for Cadillac and Lexus for some time.

The finished product is extremely durable, in fact as you can see in my signature the process can stand the heat under the hood as well.

The cost is a little more than the stick ons but the quality is as if it originally came on the vehicle from the factory. The center console consists of 11 pieces and cost is roughly $325. PM me for details if interested.

 

I bought my '04 coupe used, it had wood grain when purchased. At first I WAS NOT SO SURE, but after 6K miles I really like it and so do most other people.
I believe it takes the car to a more luxurious level.
GO FOR IT.

 

If you're going to go for the wood finish, I would rather go with SRT Six's solution, as it looks much better than the stick-ons.

Yeah, SRT Six's product is very nice. I've seen a similar process done on other cars (he may have done them, I don't know). It looks 100% Factory perfect. I'm saving my pennies for the Blackwood on my SRT-6.
