Default Question to those that own illuminated door sills

I was thinking that the illuminated door sills was my next purchase during the summer months. They look great at night!

But I have noticed now that several 'used' ones FS that I have come across have the same problem. It seems the center of the letters 'O' or 'R' are missing. Anyone have any issues with this? Common? I assume they can be reglued if not lost.

Thanks, James

I have the illuminated sills. They look great! It's a nice surprise for passengers when they are getting into your car for the first time and you're parked in a dark place like a parking garage or at night.

I've had no issues with the letter parts coming loose. But then I'm pretty easy on mine. I guess people dragging their heels across them could cause issues. But as you said, they can be reglued if found.

James,

Mine are working fine. Every letter lights up vividly at night, and everyone compliments them and begins asking questions about the car.

Happy Hunting!

Looks like only you and I have this problem James.

My car came with the drivers inner "R" & "O" pieces missing. Never noticed the passenger side till later but it's also missing an "R" & "O".

I (just a second ago) filled in the missing parts with a Sharpie Metallic Silver pen to see if it helped with the appearance. Not great but it looks better now than it did with the pieces missing.

Pictures will follow.

Picture with missing pieces filled in with Sharpie.
Guess it's better than nothing.
