Default lighted door sills

I just bought the lighted door sills and after reading the install instruction by TMZ timelord, it apppears that the harness that these sills plug into is missing. Can this harness be ordered separately? Is it expensive? Can I buy something from radio shack or the like that would act as a replacement for the missing harness? Any advice would be welcomed. I am ready to return these items as they were purchased on ebay. Thanks in advance for your help!
James

Yes the set should of came with a harness that is long enough to go from passenger side to the drivers side for the dr. sill plate and then there is a relay of some sort? I think it changes 12v to a lower voltage for the lights, I'm not sure about trying to make your own for the reason of the relay and relay connector, the wires no problem. But if I were you I would send them back as incomplete/missing parts. If you got a new set you should of got a new harness as well.

James, return them immediately. They are useless without the harness and relay.

I suppose it would be possible to make one with the knowledge and proper parts.....but I don't know of anyone that has done it.

Good luck with the return.

The sills were used.. I believed them to be okay. Here is the ad from the sale:

The sills are from the Mercedes Benz factory in Stuttgart, Germany and sport the Mercedes logo on the back. The "CROSSFIRE" illuminates blue, and will definately turn some heads. This auction is for the set of two (2) illuminated door sills, one for each side.

I am not sure I understand your post. You can't find where they tap into the car harness, or the actual harness on the sills is missing? Just curious.

If they made these to glow red to match my car, a set would have already been on!

To clear up the harness question; the harness that comes with the sills was missing! I almost had a good deal!!!

Ok, so according to the instruction sheet (thanks for posting) 3 wires need spliced in. I assume one to each door switch and a common (or hot)?

So does that mean that only one sill lites-up for that particular door that is open? Just curious if I use this wire hook-up for something else.

Yes just 3 wires
No, both lights turn on when either door is open. (but that due to harness that comes with the kit)
When doing this watch the wires carefully - the Brown/gray looks exactly like a Brown/Lt Blue. Test before reassembling.

Two for the door switches, and one for the power.

Either door powers up the "box", much like either door will turn on the dome light.
