Talking Custom shift ****...

After looking, and not finding, any after-market ***** to my liking, I decided to give it a try.
These are a few of the 111 photos taken during the process , and, NO, I won't try to upload them all.

Here is a shot of the Ebony wood ****...

IMGP3022.jpg

and another view...

IMGP3023.jpg

and here, installed with the new boot we made to match the elbow pad...

IMGP3069.jpg

For those of you interested in ALL of the gory details, this is a link to my photobucket album. ( I hope, still new to this...)

Thanks for the looks and (nice, I hope) comments.

Beautiful work from a true craftsman. I really enjoyed the slidshow. It showed the process of the work so we could understand the effort put into this. Now enjoy what you have made!

Thanks for all the nice words, means alot from this group. I'll try to get some better pics posted so you can see the interior better. I was using a shop light, not the best for photography purposes.

Thank you Gentlemen! You should see it now, during that first install I put a few scuffs on it , so I went over it with 1000 grit, and added 4 more coats. This wood turned out so well, I'm going to re-do my door lock pulls the same to match.

HA.Ha, very good! But, that's just the problem. I AM crazy, for these cars. And, unlike most of the of the other members, I'm not a mechanical genius. So, I do what I'm best at, cosmetic mods. Thanks for ALL the looks and very nice comments.

You better be crazy for more than just these cars my friend

So you're an automobile cosmetologist?

So which one did you do this on and are we going to see it in CO this summer?

Hey Erzer, you should know what I'm the most crazy for, you were there and took the photos.

As to your second thought, only on my cars.

And this was done on my Crossfire, DC won't let me near hers, she likes to keep her cars stock as possible.
We're going to try to bring both to CAA-CO edition, but will bring mine if just one.

After seeing how well the Ebony shift **** turned out, I went back and redid the door lock pulls in the same matching wood...

IMGP3094.jpg

here they are installed...

IMGP3095.jpg

and the shifter boot and matching elbow pad...

IMGP3097.jpg

Now, to re-do the rear deck, so that they all match...

They look very nice - I don't have the patience. I have been trying for two weeks to make replacements for the doors behind the fog lights out of alum. Winter slows me down.
