What do you guys think? I found this almost perfect matching dead pedal in a wrecked Peugeot RCZ. The finish isn't as shinny as the original XF pedals but I think it adds to the look of the interior.

Nice find! I've actually heard of that match. I think from the MB forums.

I made mine:

Looks good to me. A little brightness is never bad!

Max, great job, I wish I had the equipment and know how to make my own.
BTW are you still making those nice chrome covers for under the hood. If so PM me prices.
Thanks

Mercedes SLK 172 Tuning Edelstahl Fußablage von Chrometec

It says it's for a R172 model, but I can't imagine the dimensions being too severely different, and the shape is spot-on.

Might be worth ordering as a trial!

I'm not sure about Mercedes seatbelts, but I work for Nissan and the seatbelts we supply the latest models with all have a haz-mat label and are vehicle specific.

Also, you will have to investigate the tongue (shiny part) size and shape and see if it's compatible with the 2005 Mercedes parts. A lot changes in the auto industry in seven years... Especially since we're using post-facelift R170 components, which puts the technology at over ten years old.

But I have seen red seatbelts sportskit for the SLK R170 and/or R171. Should be a straight fit. They mention it on the mercedes forum. Imagine it in our nice white XFs? would look way cool.! ;D

Man that "DEAD Pedal" is kind of expensive from the "Untimate Pedal " Store. I guess I'm just cheap, but that seems really high prices to me.
