Interior Driver/Passenger Sail panels
Interior Driver/Passenger Sail panels
Forum,
Does ANYONE on here have an online link to a vendor that has part number(s) 05098271AA (driver side) and/or 05098272AA (passenger side) sail panels in stock ???? MOPAR Overstock Parts took my order and then determined their out of stock. Factory Chrysler Parts at least has the part(s) flagged as no longer available.

Re: Interior Driver/Passenger Sail panels
Shamrock,
Yeah I know the illustration is of the entire door. I believe item # 4 is called out as the "mirror cover". Naturally item 4 isn't shown on the figure. What I'm talking about is the small triangular (sail) panel at the very front of the drivers and passengers doors just above the inner door panel (bottom of the A pillar inside). FCA isn't making them anymore (among numerous other Crossfire unique parts). Every online Chrysler vendor I've contacted no longer stocks them or simply say unavailable. These pieces are notoriously brittle and prone to snapping off the tab that snaps the panel into place along the inside of the door. Out here (Ridgecrest, CA.) adjacent to the Mojave desert there's 2 salvage yards, neither have a Crossfire in their inventory. SIGH.... Thanks for taking an interest in my plight. Let me know what you find !!!!! Online vendors were asking 3 - $5.00 apiece for them. For me, passenger side is critical (broken), spares would be deeply appreciated.

I'll keep an eye out for them. Try calling these people. They are great to do business with. Tell them a guy from Wilmington, NC referred you.

Sent this to you a while ago. Don't know if you saw it or not. These people are located in NC and have 4 or 5 Crossfires on the lot. Give them a call, they don't do well responding to email. I have bought several things from them.

Re: Interior Driver/Passenger Sail panels
dedwards,
1. Thanks so much for looking into this.
2. Maybe I'm missing it but didn't see either part number 5098272AA (passenger) or 5098271AA (driver) part number listed on any of the 10 pages linked.
Forum,
Does the SLK 230/320 have theses panels ??????

Re: Interior Driver/Passenger Sail panels
The first three digits of the Mercedes part number (193) shown is the digits given by Mercedes for parts made specifically for the Crossfire. The Chrysler part numbers are only on their parts book and on the parts label stuck over the Mercedes parts label after they have marked up the price exorbitantly.
Buy these parts or I will and sell them to you with a big markup with the guarantee that they will fit.
