Hi setting blower motor not working

Hi everyone,
Since I have bought my SRT 6 the Higher settings on the fan speed selector doesn't work.
After about the first 2-3 small clicks before the half way point on the knob switch the blower motor doesn't blow faster then that.
Another note.. every now and then with the switch at the fastest setting it will randomly blow at the fastest selected speed... then cut out intermittently... I cannot seem to replete this under my own will or under specific driving conditions... this occurrence is random. Moving the selector back and forth does not change the speed below 2ish,
If anyone has any Ideas I'd appreciate it! Don't want to shell out money at the stealership!

Thank you all!

There is a resistor, that is know to fail, on this switch. A replacement of the resistor, will cure the up an down, you are seeing now.

There is also a documented problem with the switch assembly itself where the switch to board connector is not making proper contact.

I will try the resistor first since it is a fairly easy fix and i can get one for about 40$ on eBay.
I feel as though it might be a connection issue as stated above, but will try this first.

Thank you for the replies!

Hey AtomicBubbles,

I would not recommend any of the cheap Chinese knockoffs on eBay, I ordered and installed in both my SRT6 and my SUV and both lasted about 3 months and had the same problem.

Replaced both with a known brand and have had no further issues.

Just my 2 cents...
