Hi Beam Flashing Mode Not Working
The hi beam on/off switch on the steering column does not turn on the hi beams when the turn signal lever is pulled up or pushed down. The lever does turn on the hi beams however, when the lo beam headlight switch is in the on position. The blue hi beam icon is also displayed on the dash. Could this be a switch related problem or a blown fuse?

Do your wipers work? If not, it's fuse 32. See below.

It will turn ON and FLASH the high beams by pushing it forward and pulling it back respectively, when the low beams are ON. I would guess you have a switch problem. |
Re: Hi Beam Flashing Mode Not Working
I am not expecting the hi beams to be controlled to turn on and stay on when the light switch is off. I want to be able to flash my hi beams when the switch is off. As previously indicated the hi beams work normally when the light switch is on lo beam. The flashing mode is mentioned in the operators manual. I also drive an E class Benz that has the same type of light switching.

We can only go by what you write not what is in your head. I just said what actually occurs and added my comment. |
Re: Hi Beam Flashing Mode Not Working
I have checked out some of the suggested items which can prevent flashing of high beams. The following items have been checked: wipers work, directional signals work, fuse #32 is good, installed a new RCM, all the lights are working.
