    HI pizzaguy,

I have been troubleshooting my 2005 Crossfire convertible top issue with no luck. It would be great to get your thoughts on this.

When I unlock the top using the D-latch the windows go down. When I press the top-down button on the console I get a beep & nothing happens (dont hear the trunk lock). After reading your threads, I checked the trunk. I have confirmed that the divider & sensor is in place. However, I did notice that the trunk does not lock after pressing the top-down button. I physically checked & was able to open the trunk after the D-latch unlock, windows down, & beep.

Furthermore, if I lock the top with the D-latch & press the top-up button - the windows go up. From your posts, it seems that this header sensor is working ok?

My best guess is that the divider sensor has gone bad or something with the trunk latch mechanism / sensor is not right. Do you have any suggestions on what to try next to isolate the issue?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Your threads have been very helpful while I troubleshoot my convertible top on 2005 Crossfire. I am stumped on an issue and wanted to your opinion on a solution.

I just bought a 2005 Crossfire convertible with a top that wasn't operational. I got enough knocked off of the price. I love the car.

I checked the trunk divider switch today and it goes to near zero ohms when it is closed. I tried closing the switch with a rubber band and lowering the top but no luck.

I looked at the trunk lock mechanism but am not sure which one is the sensor. Connections look good.
When my wife pushed the button I could not hear the trunk locking and I could open the trunk. Obviously, the trunk is not locking while I’m trying to lower the top.

I spotted one of your posts concerning retraining the TCM. I've been afraid to try your instructions for manually lowering and raising the top while the engine is running because I thought the engine would be pressurizing the hydraulics. Is that safe?

Any suggestions that you have would be appreciated.

pizzaguy, thanks for all your work & research regarding the Roadster trunk & top issues. I just completed your two mods on the trunk not opening problem (less than an hour) and am about to work on the top not working problem... checking for a leak tomorrow....just when the weather is getting better. Thanks again CT Red Roadster

    Hey pizza guy,
Do you have any idea how many SEs were made? Just wondering how rare they are.
    Hope you are doing well.
