Best Driving in the Twin Cities Area?
Can anyone from the Twin Cities area recommend some good driving roads?
I know that coming out of the Twin Cities there's no shortage of long flat stretches of highway, as well as circular drives around lakes, but I'm always looking for something more challenging - more of a driver's road.
Here are the only ones I know of so far, but I don't get out much:
* Mississippi River Boulevard south of the Ford Company is a beautiful road.
* South Robert Trail from Rosemount from Cliff Road to Highway 55 has good curves.
Any others?

Hi, Sonoronos!
I know it's a ways away but try Michigan hwy. 26 in the Keeweenaw in the UP. I wouldn't recommend it now (duh!) but come summer it's a blast. Constantly twisting with some great views of Lake Superior; it's the best Crossfire road I've found so far in our neck of the woods.

Come out to River Falls WIS or anywhere in past Lakeville MN towards Northfield down 77 I will go with you anytime. Let me know I have my car stored for winter but come April I am game for anything. We have to get a meet together it seems like there are more people here from Minnesota.
South on 61 along the river and then back up on the wi. side of the river is a nice drive. I am here in mn. as well and would enjoy a nice day trip with some other xfire owners.
