Hey everyone I would like to get another meet together for Indiana/Illinois. Since we got Carlisle coming up at the beginning of July I propose we meet sometime at the middle or end of July. Since Illinois was so nice to host the last meet I propose Indiana should host the next. We could go back and forth hosting meets. If people just wanna meet in Illionois I'm fine with that as well. In Indiana we could go to US 41 dragstrip in Morocco. Since I'm originally from Morocco I could lead a cruise through the country roads. We wouldn't have to worry about getting separated by stop lights and wouldn't have to deal with any traffic since it's the boonies. Morocco is very small though and the cruise would only last about 30 minutes at most. We could also shoot down 41 to Lafayette and do something there. Lafayette is not my neck of the woods though so someone else from down there would have to lead. Everyone voice their opinions and decide what would work best. I'm perfectly fine with anything. Just trying to get another meet lined up since the last one was a lot of fun.

I will also be posting a possible cruise to Auburn, Ind. on Labor Day weekend. Jill and I have gone every yr for the last 10 or so yrs for the ACD parade/car show and ACD Museum.
We also go over to the Kruse auction for a few hours. We always see something we've only read about. We usualy leave about 7am, then leave for home about 7pm, sometimes stopping at the Pondarosa in Auburn off 69 for dinner.
It would be cool to cruise with some other XF's. Last yr, we cruised home with a pack of vettes. There were about 7 vettes running north on 69 and then west on 80. They were cool, they let us cruise with them till they got off on 65. We got some "thumbs up" from them.

Another possible meet sight would be the Studebaker Museum in Southbend. We haven't been there in years.

I will try to attend if it's within a couple hours from Chicago and we have a fairly good showing of committed folks coming.
For me Morocco is 2 hours away.
I've been there a few times at US41 Dragstrip.

Carlisle is July 9-11
Woodward is August 21

Somewhere in between will be best for me.

 

ok lets shoot for july 17th or 18th. depeneding where everyone is willing to meet at then i can choose a spot. we can run on us 41 dragstrip if u guys want to or we can do another illiniois meet and do something there. people put in your input on what you would like to do.

 

Jill and I are auto museum fans. There are lots of auto museums within 2-2.5 hour cruise from chicago area. I can give you a list if needed.
We'll be at a friends wedding in Rockford, Il on the weekend of the 17th.

 

sounds like a good idea. i would like to do this sometime. if we decide on illiniois or morocco either way im gonna have to drive an hour so where we meet doesn't matter

 

I like the auto museum idea, the Studebaker National Museum is approximately 2 hours from Lisle, IL in South Bend IN, so that wouldn't be too far for the Chicago people, I live approximately 4.5 hours away, but I don't mind driving.
