Hey, there's nothing wrong with moving to Texas! We have several Xfire organizations in this big state. What part of Texas are you moving to?

 

At first Houston area but I expect to be in either Austin or San Antonio within a few months. I really wanted El Paso but couldn't find a niche there. Nothing wrong with Texas I love to bust choppers.

Sounds fun Bill. CTC along with NEX has a cool logo. After I find my "permenent" location you will have to take me to Gilley's.

 

Don't know where Gilley's is. If it is in Austin, my son (who is single) might know as he lives in the Hill Country. I live in Schertz about 50 miles south. That is where the Central Texas Crossfires was created. What was the final decision on the NEX logo? No one uses it in their signature to show they are a member. I suggested that red white and blue be used and the New England outline.

 

Gilleys (was) a Bar in Pasadena Texas where I live, south east of Houston. It was made famous by John Travolta in a movie mostly filmed at Gilleys...
Alas Gilleys burned down many yrs ago.
I live really close to the home where some of his family lives, But iv'e never seen him. I hear he lives in Branson.
His son opened a fancy steak house here a few yrs ago but it bombed.

 

I believe the original Gilley's in Houston has closed. They opened a Gilley's in Dallas a few years ago though.

 

No Gilley's.........what they put in its place....don't say a yuppie Starbucks. Haven't even been there and I already have a hangover...next you'll tell me they took the Star off the Texas flag.

At least I can still ride my Harley and drive the roadster year round with out snow. Do they still sell Lone Star long necks?

 

We were down in Austin & Houston this summer.....was not happy Gilley's was gone, my wife (then GF) went there in the early 80's and were looking forward to revisiting.

 

Well Heather hope u have funon your horse. By what I heard those CTC guys are active and rowdy. We will all miss you.
