Hi my name is tom. I have just bought my wife a present an 05 convertible roadster. Burgundy color. We looked at these cars when they were new and both of us loved them but it was not practical for us to have as a daily driver. But now I could afford one for a weekend ride. I'm very mechanical and was wondering what I may need to watch for. The brakes seem a little soft and lots of peddle travel. Is this common ?
Everything works good from the little I have drove it. She don't know it yet so I'm looking to surprise her this weekend. I look forward to learn about these cars. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a ten year old car with few miles, which means it has those LOUSY OEM brake pads AND the original brake fluid.

Get a set of HawkHPS pads for the front and some MOtul 600 fluid and the those pads up front changed and the system bled.
