Headlights...

Hi All,
New to Forum...
I have a 2004 coupe, which I exported from UK to France...
I looked up the cost of buying the required (legal beam) headlights for France - Not cheap !!
I put the car in for it's Controle Technique (Mot in UK), IT PASSED !! no change of headlights required - why would that be ???? Would anyone know the answer - Please...

Maybe they did not check the direction the lights were aimed at. These headlights may have enough adjustment to allow them to be readjusted to the correct alignment. There is a hidden adjustment knob. If they are not correct you may have a flic stop you or a lot of drivers coming towards you give you some flashes.

Maybe they showed you" leniency", because it was an import. Did you have to show papers to attest to that fact.
