Default G'day from Australia just joined today

G'day I have just joined today and I have only owned my 06 Xfire for a few weeks now and already I have been driven insane by that pesky cup holder.
i have read the posts from members about replacing with a bin, the price is bad enough but add on the postage to Oz it ends up at over $100
I see some enterprising members have used a 1997-98 Saturn S on with a slight modification it fits .
We don't have them in Oz can anyone help with part number please

Welcome to the Forum. One thing you will learn quickly is patience, very necessary with the Crossfire. If you acquire that the car will be rewarding, if not it can be frustrating. Good luck with everything.

How is your f#@ing cup holder going mine keeps poping up and very annoying there is a XF bin you can fit buts it's almost A$120 including postage.
I see some USA XF owners have fitted a 1998 Saturn console bin instead of OEM one.
Do you know something that fits here in Oz.

A couple of small chips on windscreen soround and a few kerb scrapes on the mag wheels and the usual issues found in this forum
Apart from that stupid cup holder the . hood lining at windscreen top cnr both sides was parting a few cm I have since fixed ,
The back of the internal door pulls has delaminated so I have sanded smooth and ordered some leather wraps off Corvette at suggestion of this forum
The paint is very good for a 10 year old car, the interior dash , door cards, carpet are excellent and I don't think any think has been in the back, tools tire pump ect. have not been touched.
Some minor scratch s on driver's seat
It drives great a did the 800km back from Shepparton like a dream very happy with it.

Hi Ruben1948,

Its a real nice car I saw it on car sales a few weeks back. very tidy. I have had my XF about 3 weeks now. my car came from NSW and I am over the moon with it. What type of classic bike did they race? Is your XF a daily driver or a play car?
We have a MOPAR Sunday at Ipswich on the 23/7/17 which should be a bit of a crossfire get together I hope. I will post some pictures on the forum of the event.

Hi Ruben 1948

Wow very impressed with the motor bikes, how do you find such rare bikes? Are there any OW34 yam's still about?
Have you had any luck with the cup holders yet?
