Hello from Georgia, in the sticks
Greetings. I'm moving this weekend from an island, Hilton Head, in the Low Country near Savannah and re-locating to Danielsville, Ga. It's between Atlanta and Greenville, 15 mile north of Athens. Very pretty pastures and forests, rolling roads, and most people wave as you drive by. My brother and I have acquired a self storage property and I will manage it. We also bought a little cottage next door so my commute will literally be out the back door and through a gate. Big lifestyle change!
So, along with these changes will come an '04 6 speed coupe. A guy down the street from the storage property is letting it go to me. Sweet. There isn't a build page here but would like to consolidate it's journey. Plans are to lighten it, complete suspension changes, brakes, tires, wheels, etc.. Autox, track days, but still 95% street. Built purely for the corners but not to fit in any sanctioned group so I can go extreme. Been doing this to most of my daily drivers for 35 years but this is by far the heaviest project. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which category it should be placed? Thanks for having me, Hasbro |

Re: Hello from Georgia, in the sticks
That's it! That's a four year old pic but it's essentially the same. The cottage has been renovated inside and one more building has been added. In our search, a more rural location, curvy roads, and a race track nearby were pre-requisites. Road Atlanta is 45 miles away and Atlanta Motorsports Park is 75. I had hoped to be near Rome, Ga., which would have put the Barber track as a third but I'm not complaining.

Welcome to the forum. There's a great group of owners around you. One just introduced himself, an I'm in Knoxville. Enjoy the (s)miles... ;)

Thanks, Steve. I have noticed quite a few fairly close by. The Atlanta area and nearby is an amazing car community. And with mostly rust free cars!
