engine air filters
Re: engine air filters
I usually remove the air inlet tubes first by compressing them enough to slide them out of the airbox, then up and out of the openings behind the grill. Then like ZERACER stated above, pull up on the air box from the rear to pop lose the connection at the MAF. Once you do that, the airbox can be pulled up along both sides to unhook from the "rubber baby buggy bumpers". There is a spring clamp secured by a casting mount at the very front. The filter housings are on the bottom side of the airbox with several TORX screws holding the housings in place.
When I re-install the airbox, I usually spray a silicone lube on the "rubber baby buggy bumpers" and apply a very thin coating of the silicone lube on the MAF rubber gasket using my finger to apply the lube. Makes re-install of the airbox much easier and helps prevent accidental tearing of the MAP rubber gasket. In the 11+ years I've owned my 2007 Coupe, that MAF gasket tore on me once. Since I've applied the lubricant, no more issues. I usually get the airbox back in place at the MAF sensor, which tends to align all the other hold-downs & the airbox can be secured by pushing down all along both edges & the front. Helps a lot with install that the oil filler cap must be aligned with the opening in the airbox.

Re: engine air filters
I think Part #7 in the attached link is the gasket you need.
Housing Gasket (DO NOT USE)
Not sure the above Housing Gasket is what you need. But I found the old Airbox Gasket I saved when I purchased a new one. And I also saved the packaging the new one came in. The M-B P/N is 112-094-01-80. I paid $4.12 for the gasket "way back when".
Here's a link to the Airbox Rubber Seal. $6.00 CLICK
Hope this helps.
