Hello All, been reading your wonderful forum lots to learn here.
I do have 2 prospective cars narrowed down that have me interested.
1 is a 05 Limited Edition with 5342 miles with a price of $24,900 on it.
2 is a 06 Limited Edition with 11250 miles priced $22,900 on it.
Both are roadsters

Seem high priced to me what is every one's thoughts?
Also, Are the tires going to be dry rotted? I haven't been able to get down for a close inspection just a drive by.
Are these low milage cars a good idea? Or something thats "broke in" better
What else do i need to watch out for closely?
I look forward to getting involved with some other buckeyes.

Greetings! I recently purchased a ‘04 with 11.5k mikes, they were asking $15.5 settled for $14k - flew up to Portland (I live in NorCal). Car still had original tires, so over $1k for that, as I did not want to drive 800 miles on the old set. Part of the price concession. Also, replaced all fluids since ownership. Radiator flush, brake fluid (upgraded to steel braided lines), differential, and manual gearbox. Problem with low mileage cars is those services may have not been completed. Pictures enclosed, add, tires, undercarriage.

Prices seem a bit high, any room to negotiate? You can try discounting selling based on the extra expenses I had to bring the car up to date. Let us know how it goes,

Crossfires are typicaly running high on pricing right now, as the used car market is out of control. Good for us owners that want to sell a Crossfire; bad for those of us wanting to purchase another. Both of the cars you're interested in probably are good cars. Pay for the CarFax reports to see why such low mileage exists on the cars. Quite a few Crossfire owners buy these cars as strictly a pleasure ride on weekends and getaways. My 2007 Limited Coupe was purchased back in 2008 as a weekend, getaway car for us. Even with that, joining this Forum & participating in a few Crossfire events every year, I put 2500-3000 miles each year on the car. So the extremely low milage on the Roadsters you're looking at tells me the cars sat for extended time periods in a driveway or garage most of the time. Is that bad? Not really, but I would be cautious regarding lack of fluid &/or oil circulation in the car's various systems. Like abergero stated earlier, extremely low mileage cars would probably get fluid changeouts just on that fact alone, I would be cncerned about seals drying up due t a lack of fluid contact. if I were buying one. (I'm dating myself!) And the OEM tires, if still on the car, are 15+ years old and even with good tread & no signs of rubber degradation (cracks), I'd be concerned about life if you started drivng the car in a spirited manner. Tires would probably have to go. (Note: I bought new tires in 2016 after 9 years from assembly and the OEM Continentals still looked really good. No signs of cracking along sidewall nor in tread pattern; plenty of tread left. If I was only driving around town, I would have kept the tires. Taking an annual trip from South Carolina to Eureka Springs, Arkansas for a weeklong Crossfire event, or attending any other Crossfire event, tires had to go!).
