Happy New Year! Thanks for the membership. I'll be the proud second owner of a 2007 Bright Silver Limited Coupe with 15,000 miles on the odometer. Looking to ship it from South Dakota to New England. Any advice is always welcome. Thanks!

Congrats on your recent purchase & welcome to Our Forum.

I suggest you take a look at a transport firm I've used before. They have the most competitive pricing I've found in my searches for a transport firm & the reviews are typically 1st class from those that have used their services. They are just a transport broker, but seem to be a very reputable one. They are Safeeds Auto Transport. Here's a link to Customer Reviews.

Thank you. I'll check out that broker.

Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry.

It depresses me when someone has a Crossfire shipped to them. Of all the thirteen years of memories with this community and the three Roadsters I have owned, two primary memories of mine are the two one-way plane trips to go get them. The Graphite was a 2200 mile drive home - I loved that trip.

But, this time of year, you'd be nuts to drive the car in the snow, ice and salt that far. Hope you had it shipped in an enclosed trailer and that the shipping company does not disappoint you by damaging the car when it is out of your control.

Yea, I've heard stories..................

While waiting for the car to arrive, it is now time for you to:
Order the CORRECT Crank Position Sensor (always carry a spare)
Order an RCM for the 2003 Mercedes SLK320 or SLK320 (always carry a spare)
Download and print the "sticky key" Fix and ................ OOPS, no, 2007s don't need that work done.

Thanks for the tip. I went with Safeeds Auto Transport. So far, so good. Communication is good. Price is right. Crossfire is being picked up tomorrow. A day late due to weather.
