Default OHIO Crossfire Crowd

Calling all OHIO Crossfire owners. Lets get organized this summer. I need more time to play. Any suggestions? The snow is gone (for now) Check in and be counted.
I'm in Amherst,OH. Lorain County. Suburb of Cleveland, OH. Between CEDAR POINT Amusement Park and the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Beautiful North East Ohio.

How about Columbus? That's about as "central" as we can get.
How about the Mopar Nationals, Aug. 11-12-13.
After enjoying the show on Saturday at National Trails, we could all get together at a restaurant just north of Rt.70, on Brice road. Enjoy a good meal, then all of us could pull out together and cruise Brice road a couple of times with a few 100 other Mopars. A dozen Crossfire's or more should look pretty impressive. Then park our cars and get out the lawn chairs, and enjoy watching the parade of cars cruise into the night. I've been going for the last few years, and always have a great time.
And for our neighbors in Penn. Indiana, W. VA. Kentucky, and Tenn. it's only a couple hour drive or less.
What do think Andrew, You're the "forums resident" Columbus resident. Do you think it may sound like a plan?

I'm game...but one question...have you identified any sample lawn chairs that will fit in the Roadster with the top down? Aside from that, we could recruit someone from the Dodge Magnum forum (is there one??) to serve as logistical support to carry lawn chairs and coolers to make the event more enjoyable by all.

Who is going to manage coordinating the activities? Do we need advance tickets for the MOPAR event?

It would be really something if we linked a visit to the Ohio Transportation Research Center at the same time.

Aloha,

Mark

As I posted back in May, the Mopar Nationals is this weekend in Columbus Ohio.
It's a great show, lots to see, no matter what you're into. Vintage Mopars showing their stuff at National Trails Race Track, perfectly restored, and original cars on display for everyone to lust after, and lots of vendors willing to sell you anything you could want. That is, if you have any other Chrysler product except a Crossfire. Still, the whole show is alot of fun, and interesting to see.
Now I'm aware that more than a few of you out there purchased your Crossfire inspite of the fact that it was a Chrysler product. So a Mopar car show might not be of much interest to you, and that's OK too.
My suggestion was for as many forum members as possible to meet at a restaurant on Brice Rd. Saturday evening for dinner and a meet and greet.
Afterwards, we could all pull out onto Brice road together, and make a couple of passes, and then park the cars and watch the parade. (with a few thousand other people) Brice Rd. is sort of like a "micro mini" version of the Woodward Ave. Dream cruise, but for Mopars only.
The steak house I had wanted to meet at is no longer in business, so unless Andrew knows of some place better, (maybe on the south side of Rt. 70 on Brice Rd.) the only place I know of that's close to all the action is a Bob Evans on the West side of Brice Rd. just North of Rt.70.
I was planning on being there about 5:00 P.M. on Saturday. I hope we can get more than a few Crossfires to show up, so we can show the other Mopar lovers out there that we do exist.
Oh, and MARKR6754, I'll bring you a lawn chair that should fit in your roadster.

Well. I just got home from Columbus and Brice Rd. I saw 4 other XF's besides mine. All coupes, no SRTs, a Red, Grey, Silver/Blue, and a Black "base" car that had a 20" wide white stripe running down the middle of the hood and over the roof, but not on the hatch. I didn't get to meet anybody though. So if you were there, and you're on this site, I'm sorry I missed ya.
For as many other Ohio people who chime in here from time to time, I thought more would show up. I didn't even see Andrew!
The cops were super cool this year, I only saw them stop one guy for doing a burn out. Lots of people did it right in front of them, and they didn't do anything.
I hope we can get a better showing next year. For crying out loud, I even saw more Prowlers, and Vipers than Crossfires.
