Performance Events for Your Crossfire
Performance Events for Your Crossfire
I belong to the local Mercedes Club(GWS MBCA) since my 2005 Limited is MB powered. This club has been very open to my Crossfire participation in most of their events. This club does a lot of events including shows, autocross, defensive driving and high perfomance driving events(HPDE). They visit Summit Point, VIR and other tracks on a regular basis. These are wonderfully run events by dedicated car nuts and are very low-key but competitive. Cost is low too.
Currently Woody and I partipate regularly with the autocross events. You will be surprised how well the Crossfire(NA or SRT) will do so do not let that be a concern. I am sure it is good on track as well. I am always surprised how well my car does compared to other marques. Autocross will also teach you great car control.
If you have any questions please refer to this link http://www.gws-mbca.org/events.html . You can contact me directly if you have any questions.

Re: Performance Events for Your Crossfire
Tim,
I am glad you got a positive response from your local club.
I did not get a very positive response from the president of the Minuteman Section of the MBCA.
I was told we could pay for a membership and belong to the club but could not enter our Crossfires in any competitions because it was not a Benz.
So, they'll gladly take our money but won't let us show our cars or ride along on rallies. He suggested I find a MOPAR club. Typical.
