Default 370Z Unveiled, Crossfires Not Impressed

http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-...-370z/1125149/

The new car looks more like a Crossfire and less like the original 300ZX with the high decklid and short overhangs....

People are starting to say that the 370Z actually is designed to appeal to 240/280Z people, and the 350Z was designed to appeal to 300ZX people

Well considering it has the same rear quarter and long nose-up stance as the old datsuns... I tend to agree.

I'd drive one.

As a matter of fact, I am. I even own a a 1977 Z car from California that needs restored, and after seeing the 370Z, I may just forget about restoring the original.
I wouldn't sell my Crossfire for it, but it certainly would be a welcome addition to my stable.

Better than the 350Z. Not much change under the skin tho.

it's a 3.7 v6 cranking out 330 horse. It's lighter by a smidge, I believe. My friend has a 2007, (303hp) traps 103 and his best 1/4 is 13.8.

Idk, headlights are about as attractive as an 85 year old **** star with AIDS.

I think I have some right to inject some input on this. I hate the 350Z/G35...its not a true Z IMO. I'm glad that Nissan/Datsun are trying to go back to the 240Z,260Z, 280ZX,280Z(etc) styling. I think the 280ZXs looked best if they only had a 300ZX (Z32) interior. Keep in mind guys, 300ZX's came in two styles, mine and the old looking one with the odd pop up light system. Neither of which comes close to any of the styling cues of other z's.

I like it also. I wouldnt get rid of my Crossfire for it.

That new Solstice looks like a mini-Viper.

Makes me miss my '91 300ZX TT. I installed a JWT chip and got an instant 60 hp! It was a fun car up until I sold it a few years back.
