Some very questionable choices on both sides. But that's always the case with these things.

It must be Jeremy Clarkson's comment that got it on the list.

And they list the Lexus SC430 convert too. Those sell for top dollar and I see at least one of those every day. I guess there are a lot of people that would disagree with that list.

While I don't agree with the SC430 being among the 50 ugliest cars of all time, I don't find it particularly beautiful. The proportions are a bit off to my eye. There are plenty of these things running around Orange County, CA too - something just isn't quite right with them. But top 50 ugly? Certainly not.

I don't either. I guess they became the car to be seen in by the rich. I'd bet money I get more looks in my xfire roadster than they do. :D

They love the DB9 but hate the Crossfire ... that's weird since they both have VERY similar lines. I am convinced that the designer of the Crossfire was in love with Aston Martins. It was my love of the Vanquish that made the Crossfire catch my eye. Same wide rear wheel flares, dropped nose that looks like it is getting ready to pounce, same criticism by Jeremy Clarkson .....

How can you honestly compare this

to this
http://www.focusgallery.nl/albums/AUTOFOTO/db9.jpg

or this
http://www.carsandtuning.org/wp-cont...vanquish-s.jpg

The Astons are curvier, have better proportions and the rooflines don't end as abruptly as the Xfire's. The roofline in the Astons have a nice gradual declination that terminates nicely into the rear. The Xfire's line drops abruptly downwards. The overall look of the Astons are much more elegant and sexy than Xfire's. You can't really deny what the above pictures spell out. Please, Don't Take This The Wrong Way!!!!!

I can't really disagree with some of their comments on ugliest cars. I'm not going to touch the #37 entry. People already know my opinion on that, and lord knows I've already been flamed enough on that subject.

The Aztek was a shoe-in, and will be for as long as time continues though.

I definantly agree on the MB 300SL, Ferrari 250GT, Jag E-Type, Lotus Elan, Lambo Miura, Datsun 240Z, Acura NSX, RX-7(FD only!), Aston DB9 and (surprise...not) Audi A5, although I'd take the faster S5 myself.

I disagree on that god awful Citroen though.

I could make all different kinds of 50 car lists that people would disagree with. It's all opinion. I pay for my car, so I'm the only one it needs to satisfy.

I agree with 5 cars of the beautiful cars out of 37. Being that number 37 is this I just stopped looking at it.

Don't get me wrong ... I'm not saying they are twins, more like cousins. I look at the 2 cars & see how some of the lines in the Vanquish could have INSPIRED some of the lines in the Crossfire.

I agree, there's a lot the XF shares curve-wise with the Aston, Jaguar XK and the Bentley Continental GT.

But by no means are they outclassed by the XF.

I see the continental from the back, but not the others.

You mean just like this Aston, the Vantage Roadster?

Were I to publish a list of "my" 50 most beautiful cars of all time, this one would be very close to the top.

Re: MSN's Top 50 Ugliest Cars Ever

Continental GT maybe. It's an 03 and the XFire is an 04. The other 2 can't be inspirations, unless you go into the DB7's timeline. Technically it can't be any of those 3(the XK, DB9 or C GT). The main design language of the Xfire can be traced to the 01 Xfire Concept.

At $163,000 I appreciate my $25,000 Crossfire roadster even more. I live in a real world...

So we're no longer allowed to lust for cars we know we'll never own? Thank you, Thine Lord of the Iron Clad Interwebz.

These people fall into the same category of art and movie critics. Nobody can ever count on them being accurate or being known for having outstanding taste.
