The split window didn't work in '63 and it won't work in '09.

I doubt if the DMV would allow that?

It looks more Lambo-like every year what with the sharp angles & all.

Completely disagree that it has '59 styling influence. That is pure '68-'82.
I for one have missed the raised fenders on the '84 and up model.
NICE work, just tone it down just a bit.

Hate that Cadillac/Camaro grill.

Mean looking car!! I love it! It would look great sitting in the driveway next to my yellow roadster!

Very cool !! unfortunately if GM builds it they will tone it down so much, it will end up like the SSR and no one will buy it.

Certainly a beautiful movie car. I like all the views but the rear. The anglular projection appears to be a departure from the design and doesn't flow as well. Thanks Rudy for sharing the pics.

I saw this when I went to the autoshow... I didn't even think to take pictures.. I am such a nerd. It is still going on I think. I may have to go back with the video camera.

I have always been a guy interested more in production cars than concepts so I didnt even pay attention

I respectfully disagree. '59-the year of the wings?

wow...I have never heard anyone hate on a '63 coupe! It's all in preference I guess.

No, no. You misunderstood. I LOVE the looks of the '63/'64. But this ain't it! Chevy just had to drop the split for the reduced rear view.

I think you are thinking '59 Cadillac, that is where the fins (wings) are at. The '59 vette is pretty rounded. The only wing shape is a cross-section behind the front wheel.

Ok, I'll go with that. I've been thinking about the styling cues of this concept car: Front end like a Cadillac. Side view like the new Camaro. Rear end like Christine. Deck like a '63 'vette.

These designers are either:
  • Witless
  • Bored
  • Over-paid
  • Out of ideas
Or really looking for a new job.

I don't want to argue, but this is a mish-mash of old stuff.

Period.

WOW! Very cool. I love the ol' Stingray. But you think our coupes have blind spots, this car would be over the top for blind spots.

I actually saw this at the Chicago Autoshow yesterday. I got some good photos and a good video. I will post them up when I get home later tonight. It was very very good looking. One of the best cars there...if not the best.

The Mini Clubman has a split rear window, as do Econoline vans, and have you ever looked through the rearview mirror on an Exige S?
