Default One Year 2 seater Restoration

DSCN2511-1.jpgI went over to a good frinds house yesterday to take a look at a project he's been working on for the last year. Scott is very meticulous, and his attention to detail is 2nd. to none. This was the first time I actually saw the car in person and I was completely blown away, it is beautiful with a great color combination.
When the owner showed up from Philly to pick up his "New AMX", I asked him if he would trade me even for my Viper GTS, and he turned me down.
Scott did a photo record of the entire restoration so take a few minutes to check it out. Silver '68 - The Project Update - The AMC Forum - Page 1 DSCN2512.jpg

Looks great! I wish I had a AMX I could trade for a Viper GTS.

I went and followed the thread from the begining. Excellent work. You know it is one thing to restore cars, but to take the time to show it step by step in photographs with explainations is exceptional. I don't think you could get it better than that.

James

PS I suspect that is where you had your hood modded.

James, I've known Scott since 1993 and I never knew he had those talents. I've seen photos of a couple other cars he did, but never up close and personal like this one.
He is one person who knows the AMX inside and out. I don't think there is a single sq. in. of the car he hasn't handled.
He's starting a new restoration project on another AMC so I'm looking forward to seeing him work his magic all over again. This is a "Full time job for him".
A Custom shop in Hartville Oh. called "Customs Unlimited" did my hood. They're only about 7 miles from where I live.
I wish I could afford to have him go over my AMX, I had it repainted in lacquer nearly 35 years ago, and it's starting to show its age. But if when he got it done it looked as perfect as that silver one, I wouldn't want to drive it. But then I haven't driven it since I got the Crossfire so it probably wouldn't make any difference.
Andrew, You and Scott would get along like two peas in a pod. lol
