New Dodge Viper: Hints of the Chrysler Firepower! concept
Here's a pic of the new Dodge Viper from the NY AutoShow(care of the Top Gear website)

Seen specifically in the front end design, I can see signs of the Chrysler Firepower! concept cars from a few years back.

Now I don't know where Chrysler is at the moment in introducing new models but if the Viper is produced could a Firepower! or "new Crossfire" be a posibility?
I love the sporty Dodge products like the newer Challenger and Charger but I do prefer the classier Chrysler variations.

I wouldn't hold your breath on a Chrysler derivative, especially since Dodge has gone so far as to segregate the SRT brand from the Dodge brand.
That being said, I love the Italian flavor that has been injected into this car. The headlights smack of an F430. The tail lights are so close to the Maserati Granturismo, it's not even funny. That color reminds me a lot of the Rosso metallic color on the 599 GTB. The interior has received refinement that's more overdue than a Congressional house-cleaning. Yet, the front 1/4 view looks like you took a clay model of the '99 GTS and, with wet fingers, stretched and smoothed the form.
I think the 2013 Viper is a beautiful marriage of Viper legacy and Italian soul. Combine that with the drivetrain that should be able to scare the ZR-1, and you have a wonderful successor to the Viper lineage. This is one bad asp.

This sexy car just became my desktop background
.... shhhhhhh the wife might get pissed off.
In all seriousness, if this is how it will look for production... I just got a new goal for life.

I too am pleased with the resulting concept. A few earlier teaser photos made it look too much like the current Corvette, which was disappointing.
I've always found the Viper to be far more superior to the Corvette and it hasn't had the long lineage the 'vette has which makes it even more impressive.
Not to totally dis the Corvette but I find them to be way too ubiquitous and common.

I'm still drawn to the first generation Viper with it's unique rims and smooth curves. Sure the interior was sucky but it was a VIPER.

John it's funny, I saw a photo of the new Viper, and I showed it to my wife. We both said the same thing. Except for the color, it pretty much looked like what we have sitting in our garage.
I never cared much for the "Slab sided" Vipers that replaced the GTS model.
Like the Challenger, it's nice to see they brought back another "retro" styled Dodge.

That's a slick ride for sure!
In fact one of our forum members was at the launch.
