I'll bet he thought he looked really cool...about 2 seconds before impact.

Remember that motorcycle is a contraction of motorized bicycle and that will tell you all you need to know about the crash dynamics of a motorcycle/car collision. The bicyclist becomes a flung object (like from a catapult) just looking for a solid object to fatally impact.
