Lorne you have the right idea; I bought new a F-250 in 1971 and still have it. Drove it across country a couple times but it only has 180,000 miles on it. I will own it until I leave this earth. Gas milage sucks at 6 MPG so I only use it when it is required for a load. Had a 1993 Escort, which I bought new, and it ran good until Mrs hit a deer and totaled the front end. It had 320,000 mi and counting when I drove to the salvage yard. SAD DAY!!
