Chrysler Maserati Badging Precedent
Some folks don't like the idea of putting a Mercedes Star on the Crossfire and I admit it seems a bit tacky. Still, does anyone recall the TC model car that was built by Maserati for Chrysler? I think that they had the Trident emblem on the car even though it had Chrysler on it also. So the idea of putting a Mercedes emblem isn't so bad as I first thought. But of course, the Chrysler Maserati badging was done with both company's blessings. Just a thought.

I find it far less offensive to have AMG logos on an SRT-6 than the MB stars on a NA Crossfire. But the Maserati badge is over the top. Offensive to all fine Italian built motorcars and car lovers. There are definate distinctions between Italian women, German women and American women. Same is true for their cars. You can spot one and know it's roots from a mile away. My first car was Alfa Romeo and my second car American mussle, Camaro Z28. Now German Crossfire SRT-6. I have found a love and respect for all three in different ways, but I would never put anything Italian on a German made car. I think we can all agree that if Chrysler had to create a car from scratch without MB around to supply parts, it would come out looking more like a Viper or Charger with big *** V8 or V10 and pounds to match. It would certainly not be a Quattroporte or Ghibli. Stick with Crossfire logos or at least keep their origin North of the Alps.
