Ferrari introduces 612 Scaglietti
Well, apparently Ferrari has released photos and information about the new 612 Scaglietti, the replacement for the 465 GT. Autoweek has the info and pics here:
Ferrari releases photos and details of new 612 Scaglietti Is it just me, or is this the most uninspired design to come out of Pininfarina in, well, maybe forever? $250,000+ for a body that looks like it could be a Toyota Celica if you removed the prancing horse badges just seems wrong in my book. Sigh. If only I had enough spare cash to put a nice used 308 in the garage next to the Crossfire. Cheers, Greg |
I like it, and I think the designers did a great job. This car is not meant to be as showy as the 360, or the Enzo, or even the 512. It is meant to be a classier car for people who have the money, who want performance, and want to be able to put 4 people in their car. If I had an endless pocket, I don't think there is a four passenger car I would rather have.

I guess that just goes to show why they have different models, eh? :)
Either that or it shows that I'm biased and stuck in the past, since I still think the 308 GTB/S, the 512 BB, and the Testarossa are among the sexiest cars ever made. Cheers, Greg |
i think the 456 is alot better looking !
