Something for Everybody at SEMA
Something for Everybody at SEMA
I've never had the pleasure of attending the SEMA show in Vegas, but I was really surprised to hear that an AMX showed up.
AMC At SEMA - Autoholics
It's pretty much all Corvette underneath, but I could live with that if I had to.
I'd just never open the hood, (just like I never do on my Crossfire).

I hope your friend made it out OK when he rolled his X.

No Mike, I don't have one. That model never made it to production for some reason. The few known to exist are "preproduction" or FEP (Final Evaluation Piece) pieces, probably originally owned by a Mattel employee that took them home. Mattel actually used the Javelin casting which could have been a problem there. Finding an original is worth several thousand dollars. Today you can buy repoduction decals to but on that same casting if you feel you need to have it. This model is considered one of the Holy Grail if you have one.

Re: Something for Everybody at SEMA
yes Mike, but he angled his...really looked nice. He raised the rearend up for some larger tires. It got unstable at the end of run...got to going side to side, and he lost it... it had a roll cage, and he walked away...same week, two kids got killed same place, and our street racing was over. 65 chevelle broke a front wheel mag, broadsided a tree...4 guys in the car, two walked away, two didn't...no one ever raced on that road again...not ever that I remember...

It belongs to a good friend of mine. My nephew painted it for him when he owned a body shop.
If you scroll down the page a little further, there's a photo of my car taken at a Mopar Show at Summit Racing in 2004.

(if that doesn't get a response, I don't know what will.)

It's pretty bad when the Prez (who writes the News Letter) of the car club you've belonged to for over 10 years doesn't even know what year car you own. (Even though he owns a 69 AMX himself).
