Default Next Toy

Once we get the house built and wait a few years for some depreciation, I will be looking for one of these bad boys. $20k seems reasonable, but I will let someone else take the $5k hit to be the first to own one. Can't wait for spring to drive one, seems like a very tight little track day/good weather driver. maintenance would not be too expensive and insurance would be reasonable. Boy do I hope its as much fun as a few reviewers have claimed...

Good alternative to the Can-Am Spyder line...my wife likes to sit next to me, anyway!

Sounds good to me, once Spring hits, we can hook up before the wedding...

I am supposed to be getting my hands on a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle we will have to sample as well

Nice to see the concept still lives.
I tried to buy a similar vehicle in the mid-80's but owner valued it higher than I did.
Harley killed it.

I was completely unaware of the previous versions, save the can-am and a few others. None of them, in my opinion, have the build quality and attention to detail of the new slingshot. From the reviews, everything from the tranny to the handling is above average, and the price tag is more than fair.

I'd love an electric version of this - I always wanted to drive a slot car :-)
