My New V-8 Corvair

I bought this car in this condition. I am not sure why the guy built it this far and was ready to let it go. It has a ZZ4 crate motor hooked to a ZF 5 speed transaxle. The whole drive train including the radiator comes out with 4 bolts. He had a custom machine shop and was a racer so the car was built to race and is race quality engineering. It has 4 wheel disc brakes all braded lines and a purporting valve inline. It also has 180 degree headers that sound very much like a GT40 Ford. The car moves under it's own power but as you can see it needs a lot. I have a dash with gauges installed and a Painless wiring kit for the car. The best part is the vin number. This car is a CA car and rust free. It was built in LA and the vin is 100015, the fifteenth Corvair made in LA in 1965. One of the earliest surviving Corvairs from LA. Plan on having it on the road and drive to the Corvair convention in June in Knoxville. This is my fifth V-8 Corvair.

Wow! What a beast. That looks like a worthy and fun project to follow through on.
