Default 2020 Toyota Supra

With some help from zee Germans, Toyota's newest offering has a forced induction 6 pot engine making 335 hp, auto tranny only with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph and a curb weight of 3397 lbs ................Hmm sounds familiar. I'll save my USD 50K and keep my SRT6 thank you very much!

I'm sure this new Supra is amazing and has a way better transmission than the 5 speed in the srt6. The steering is probably better than our cars too. Still love the crossfire though.

I think you're trying to compare apples to oranges here.

In the latest edition (FEB/2019) of Road & Track, there is a detailed article on the new BMW Z4. This is the other car that came out of the joint design effort between Toyota & BMW. The Supra & Z4 will be built in the same factory (sound familiar). Each car is tuned differently and as a result, the drives are different. If you want a coupe, you'll buy a Supra. If a roadster is more to your liking, the Z4 will be purchased. But BMW will offer more powerful engine options on the inline six which will fill the engine bay on both cars. The BMW Z4 M40i will come with 382 HP & 369 lb-ft of torque. (Note: And the M4 version will most likely be more powerful, when it becomes available.) But at somewhere in the mid $60k price range, hanging on to an SRT-6 (if I had one) would seem to be a near "no brainer".

And by the way, Road & Track spoke highly about the new Z4.

They said they don't plan on making a z4m.
