Default B-29 Stratofortress

This model B-29 Stratofortress w/X-1 is powered by four chainsaw motors.
You can just imagine how much time, effort, skill and money these guys have put into this thing.

Gary, that video was so cool. But when he taxied out, turned, and Glorious Glennis the (X-1) appeared under it's wing, it blew me away.
I'd love to see that guy and his B-29 at an air show sometime. But if he ever stencils "Enola Gay" on the nose of his mini fortress, I'm not going to stick around to watch his flight exhibition.

What a fantastic display! I can't imagine the skills needed to put that together AND to fly it that well. Thanks for putting this up on the forum.

I read your post before I watched the video so I was expecting to see the X-1. I was NOT expecting to see the X-1 be dropped and then fly around on it's own. And how do you top that? Why, have the B-29 crew bail out! Not only does the builder have extraordinary mechanical skills but he also has a wonderful imagination. Great video.

THAT WAS COOL, THANKS FOR POSTING! If any of us think we are nuts on what we spend - both time and money - then just watch this, we are amatures!

Mac Hodges' was the pilot of the B-29. Monetarily, the value of the plane roughly $7- 8K.
