Oldest Commissioned Ship

After reading that the USS Kitty Hawk is leaving Japan to be decommissioned, and after a rousing round of "Name That Plane" in the Sounds of Freedom thread, here is a related question for you all:

The USS Kitty Hawk is the oldest active duty commissioned aircraft carrier in the US Navy. What USN ship is the oldest commissioned one period (active status, reserve status, memorial, etc.)?

You took all the fun out of this - boo!

The USS Constitution is the navy's oldest commissioned ship and the oldest one afloat. The HMS Victory is older but is displayed in drydock.

I believe it's a fleet tug, or maybe a minor auxilliary.

It's the USCGC Taney now berthed in Baltimore Harbor. She's about 300' long, don't know the tonnage. It's on the net somewhere.
