The trunk on it kinda looks like the XFires trunk. There might even be more room.

I've sat on one and it was an interesting experience felt very snowmobile-like to me. Just turning the steering wheel seemed to induce a interesting shift in weight, like the suspension forces you to lean into the turn. BTW I do believe its a Spyder not Spider. These 3 wheeled "contraptions" are not known for their high speed stability under corners but the Can-Am Spyder is supposedly one of the best of them to deal with this.

Smile Re: Can-Am Spider?

They had these down here in Panama City a few months ago. I got to do a demo ride on it. They are really stable and quite fast. I believe they quoted 0-60 in about 5 secs. They have a ton of torque and I almost got kicked out of the demo ride for smoking the back tire on the way out.

In July of this year, I rented one up in Manchester, NH for a few days. Put close to a thousand miles on one. I was amazed at the looks and compliments people were giving it. I had one couple in Antrim, NH ask if it was a UFO.

My wife is thinking about getting one. As for me...I'll stick with my Fatboy for now and blow the dust off hers every now and then if she gets one.

BTW...that trunk makes an excellent beer cooler and even has a drain plug in it.

I pass by one parked on Arlington St & Archwood all the time. I've been wondering what kind of engine it had, and how it performed.
Looks like it would be fun, especially for those who don't feel very secure on just 2 wheels.
Thanks for the post.

These have a 998cc motor that pumps out 77 ft-lbs of torque at 6250 rpm. This is enough grunt to hurl the 697-pound (claimed, dry) machine down the road ahead of most any car. A further twist of the throttle to 8500 on the tach arrives the power peak of a claimed 106 HP.
