Neat video! Too bad I threw up on my keyboard watching it.

I once took a friend up in a Cessna and had started a turn from a steeper than normal bank. We were probably only pulling 1.5 Gs but halfway through the turn my friend remarked "Ah, I think we left my stomach behind". I kept the turns easy and gentle after that.

I flew in something similar to that about a month ago... It was the most intense outa control thing I've ever done! When you're pulling 6g's in 360 degrees there's nothing else to compare it to.
Attachment 49500
And I'm going to do it again:cool:

Are you sure it's really that simular? The competition birds are modified versions and have much more horse power then the original versions.

Better not be "outa control" – in-fact - its better be in "total control" - you don’t get second chances or fudge factors when your at altitude........

You always land with the main wheels on the touch down markers and the nose wheel on the center line.....if not - best to "keep practicing"

I don't believe it was a competition version... as I know those have oodles of hp. Yet it was still plenty quick for my first time in one.

Totally outa control as in totally cool! The pilot I was with was plenty experienced.

Yea I am in the Sport aviation club. I'm Alumni now so I don't get to fly the beast anymore but maybe if I get back down to FL someday. It was a lot of fun going to competition with that thing though!!!

It always amazes me how pilots can snap a plane into position so precisely. I always imagine that there would be a certain amount of inertia which would make that impossible to do, but I’ve see it done in all kinds of small aircraft.

Re: Aerobatics at it's BEST !

the way to make a plane more maneuverable is just to add bigger control surfaces.(like bigger rudders and ailerons) after that it's up to the circus clown in the seat to make it stop maneuvering.
