Darn Chrysler products just don't last

Heard a metallic screeching howl under the hood yesterday on the '95 one ton Dodge. Only 295K on the clock and I have to put on a new water pump.
Cummins diesel just barely broke in too.

Replaced the serpentine belt and Tensioner while I was at it. Not that they needed it but once I was in there, what the hell. Took 4 hours (including beer run) and about 135 bucks worth of parts.

Damn, they just don't make them like they used to.

I have had to replace so little on this truck. Batteries, tires, brakes, a fuel regulator, Shocks and ball joints. Ya know, the usual wear stuff.

I ride it hard and put it away wet. Tow a 20 foot trailer all the time. Cars, tractors, boats, even a Bull dozer. I haul gravel, manure, and lumber in the bed. It has been the best wheel barrow I have ever owned.

Glad you got a chuckle.

I know what you mean with the old reliable Dodge trucks with diesels. Mine is a 1997 3500 4X4 with turbo Cummins. I temporary failed state inspections one year because the horns wouldn't blow. I had driven thru watered down mud so deep that my horns were filled. You can't stop 6 wheels pulling when transfer case is shifted down into low range with Dana positraction. Nice Rig SQ.:D

Those '94 to 2000 models were special.

I'm kind of afraid to buy a new one. I worry that I will be disappointed.
