Not at all, due to the size of the poster and that it has to be shipped flat you can thank the USPS for the rates. When I sell things on eBay I do not try to build profit into the shipping costs. I think that I am the only one in the history of eBay to refund money to a buyer if the shipping costs are actually less than advertised.

I've shipped 12" x 12" flat art packages for half the price and that included $500 coverage for insurance, what size is the poster?

The poster measures 16" x 20" and is rigid, the USPS says that it is to big for regular mail. Using the eBay shipping wizard and inputting a shipping size of 17" x 24" (for internal packing) and a weight of 3 - 4lbs, these are the shipping rates and insurance is included. You can trust that once I get it to the PO, if there is a difference I will issue the buyer a refund for that difference, and on the other hand if the shipping turns out to be more I eat the difference. Unfortunately I cannot control the USPS and UPS is even higher.

Just as an FYI and I now better understand the costs, you should also try fedex because on larger items they are significantly less expensive.

Thanks for the FYI, I will see if I can add it to the shipping data on the auction.
