I am putting a feeler out for the purchase of my wheels and tires. As most of you know they are custom made Dynamic Performance Engineering (DPE) 2 piece forged wheels. They are 20x10 (25ET) in the rear and 19x8 in the front (35ET). I have Nitto NT555 225/35/19 and 285/30/20 tires with tons of tread left. These wheels were made specifically for my Chrysler Crossfire and there are not another set in the world. They are what is know as “Liquid Cinder” w/ a polished lip. The “liquid Cinder” color is very close to the Graphite color of our car. The wheels retail for $6,000 and the tires for $1200. I will let the set go for $3000 shipped OBO. They will come with TPMS sensors and the shorter lugs needed.

These wheels have the Reverse Lip set up so caution should be used while driving at high speeds in rain.

were did the info on the lips come from? both sets of my wheels have this style of lips and i never had any vibration issues. just tryin to learn something!!

 

The info came from.....everywhere. The reverse lip issue is well known and you can google "reverse lip HRE water" or something even close and see thread after thread from other forums talking about it. The easiest test to see if you actually have this style wheel is after you wash your car is there water sitting in the rim? There is a lip on the inside which prevents this water from just flowing out...that is the problem.

You can see the channel that the water gets caught in if you look just behind the face of the wheel on what would be the back side of the wheels. You can see this in the pics above. This channel is also where the air valve stem is located.

Go get a beater for your D/D and keep the SRT-6 in tac for special rides.

 

gotcha!! i see it now. i was thinking you meant were the rim meets the tire. see... i learn something new every day!!! i was wanting jhm2k to get these for his new alabaster white limited. black would look sick on white but its his daily ride.

Bump for a new deal. I have been getting a few messages from forum members asking about my wheels.

If my car does not sell on ebay in the next 24 hours. I will do a trade for a set of stock SRT6 Wheels and Tires plus $2000.

We would need to ship each other the wheel sets, should cost $175 or less. We would each need to cover the cost of our own shipping and the payment would need to be made via PayPal.

Your stock wheels and tires need to be in good shape, mounted balanced with TPMS. It would be cheaper for us just to have the dealer reprogram the TPMS than have them removed and then reinstalled!!!

This is a limited time offer as I plan to re-list the car ASAP.
