Tempting...
I saw that this morning. I asked the seller about the cracked front cover and here's his response:
"On the 55, it's a one piece timing cover. It contains all of the mounting points for the alt, p/s etc..... But it's different from the standard 500 v8 because of the supercharger. The alt mounting tabs are the broken part of the front cover. It's still solid were it covers the timing chain. "

ZOOM ZOOM !!!
If you could get that sucker to hookup, you'd be seeing low 10's, high 9's ......
Do they make 20" wide 18" wheel slicks ?
( Assuming you had a transmission, drive line and rear end that could take it )
Maybe it would be better suited for the salt flats ... 220 MPH ?

I don't think any have hit the 10s but I know the black one does really low 11s. He's active on the boards (AMX1397) and a super nice guy, met him at the fall dragon. Beaner has the blue one up in Canada (also active here)
Rudy (rcompart) would be the one to talk to about what is needed to get the swap done. They are quite drool worthy

Im not sure on exactly what is needed, but I do know it would be a ton easier to convert the SRT rather than a NA lol. The cool thing is the key we have can work with it, as opposed to the push button you pretty much have to use with the 500. xfireon20z, that motor is a 5.4L not a 5.5
Jim(amx1397), Beaner, and Paul(taz) all have that swap. It is not easy, or cheap, and traction will be your biggest enemy. It throws off the weight ratio to something like 62/38. Jim runs slicks, plus 200 pounds of lead over the rear, and still has problems with traction. I have been fortunate to meet all three of those cars and owners, and even set up a race between Jim and a 300 SRT-8 with a Procharger when he came up to Orlando SpeedWorld to run with us. Beaner is funny as hell(he's not Mexican!) and has one of the most beautiful Crossfires I've laid eyes on. Paul's is by far the attention getter. You can see him shocking muscle cars on the highway on YouTube. The swap isn't easy and, as far as I know, Rudy(rcompart) is the only one that does it. This is not a task to be taken lightly. But, yeah, they all haul some serious @$$!!!
